to get back into my ‘normal’ routine - and it feels awesome! LOL

Alyssa was up and out the door before I even managed to get out of bed (which means she got up on time!) Megan was on time too - both of us were out the door by 8:25am. Went and got my first coffee and met up with Nicole before she went to work. Then headed over to the Superstore to meet my coffee pals. Got the mail and was home shortly around 9:30am. By 10:30 the house was dusted, vacuumed, dishes done, kitchen cleaned, living room curtains were in the washing machine (the hell?? LOL) Now it’s almost 1pm, I’ve gone for another coffee and come back home, got the curtains out of dryer and attacked them with the sewing machine and finally fixed them - only been since February since they needed to be done, and they are now all nicely hung up and smelling fresh and clean - ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Now I’m just killing some time before heading back to town to visit with Crystal a bit at her office, then home again to see how the kids made out with their second day of school - the first day went off without a hitch and they both had great days - and I had a mountain of ‘homework’ - meaning the 10 million forms that needed to be signed and they both had their hands out needing money for school fees *sigh*

Oh Happy Day - it’s you know - the most wonderful time of the year….back to school. Back to Mom sanity. Back to a clean house, and bedtimes, and and and - well MY quiet time LOL. It’s a good day! I even got my butt up by 7:10am, forced my now high schooler into the *1st day of school* pics, sent her on her way at 7:30am, had a shower, washed my hair, dressed, make up on, Megan’s lunch packed, did HER *1st day of school* pics, dogs out for their morning pee, and now here I sit, 8:15am, patiently waiting to kick Megs out the door. Whew!

Not much going on today - especially since the stores are all closed for labor day - Tim Horton’s was open thank god, so I had my morning coffee though! Was up way to early tho (Boo) and was out the door before 9am. I guess my body is getting ready for Thursday morning and the alarm going off at 7am. OMG - 7am. Someone shoot me now LOL But I tell ya, it is going to be so nice going back to a quiet and clean house during the day, no TV blaring at me, no messes, no kids yelling at each other…man, I love back to school time

I spent the last week in a somewhat quiet little funk - I’m not sure what to do about some stuff, having to make some difficult decisions about some of the people in my life, and some decisions about my own life - you know, sometimes I don’t like being a grown up. Trying to decide if staying here is the best thing for me and the girls or if maybe venturing out of this little town would be a good thing or not…there are so many times I wish I could turn back the clock about 6 years and see if things couldn’t have worked out differently, you know? But, unfortunately you can’t do that can you? *sigh*

On other news - apparently I’m going for yet another tattoo (my 8th LOL) thanks to Val - she has FINALLY decided that it’s time to get one (ok ok, I’ll rephrase that and say her hubby has finally decided to NOT kill her if she gets one LOL) and she’d like me to go along for moral support - which means I’m getting one too LOL I’ve been planning on at least one more for well over a year now, I’m just having a bit of trouble finding what I want - I have a moon/stars one on the top of my left foot - so I’m trying to find the perfect Celestial Sun for the top of my right foot - it’s not been an easy search LOL Hopefully I can find one soon!

Anyway - have an awesome Holiday Monday everyone - I’m soon off to clean, purge and organize - maybe do some painting too since it’s not hot…we’ll see

last holiday weekend of summer is upon us - woke up to cool temps, overcast skies and everything wet - must have rained sometime during the night. Today’s plan is just to clean the house, finish up some much needed laundry, and maybe make a grocery store run seeing has everything will be closed tomorrow for Labour Day.

We are so enjoying our new windows - Bruce stopped by the other day to pick up some banana muffins I made for him for being such an awesome landlord (LOL) and had a peek - he likes what I’v done to the place so far (of course he does! lol) and I was telling him some of the other stuff I have planned - he loves me I swear lol

Nothing big planned for the rest of summer vacation - the girls have 4 more days of freedom before school starts on Thursday - YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol They have all their stuff ready, new book bags packed, new back to school outfits are ready - Thursday can’t get here soon enough!!

and I started my day with an early morning wake up call at 9am (yes, that’s early thank you very much!) from Nathaniel, saying would I like him and his guys to put in my new windows today?? Or I guess I should say Bruce’s new windows, I just get to live with them! LOL And of course I said YES! wheeeee!! So there’s lots of mess and lots of noise happening right now - they started shortly before 9:30am and it’s now 11am and they are on the last window (well second to last, one didn’t get delivered yet but it’s for the downstairs bathroom and we can wait for that one)! Then we just need to like really clean now LOL The girls are so freaking happy that they are going to be able to have open windows in the bedrooms tonight!!!

And speaking of Brrrr - holy crap - it’s chilly today! rained last night, and it’s overcast today so far…back to school weather if I’ve ever seen it - which happens next Thursday! YAY! Back to routines of early bedtimes, and getting up early and fighting over homework - it’s a good thing really

It’s another awesome day here today - the sun is gracing us yet again with her presence, so that’s nice I’ve been up since about 8, showered, out for coffee and a drive and back home about 9:30am. Cleaned a bit, started some laundry, and now I think I’ll head out for another coffee and do some errands. Nothing too thrilling or exciting

Sending out good thoughts and quick healing vibes to our buddy Josh today - he’s at the IWK hospital for surgery (nothing life threatening!) and will hopefully, fingers crossed, be home Sat or Sun we hope! Val has her trusty lap top with her and cell phone of course, so we can at least keep in touch better this time around lol Good luck today Joshie!! Love ya!

but DAYUM! I’m broke!! *sigh* LOL

Didn’t do too much this morning, but had my hair chopped off after lunch, then I came home, grabbed the girls and we headed off to Bridgewater - they are both now officially ready for school!! All the supplies have been bought, both have new cool book bags, back to school outfits, back to school shoes AND back to school earrings LOL and I even scored a new hoodie and 2 new shirts so go me! lol And we had an awesome supper at Boston Pizza, then headed home - my friend Tracy stopped by around 7pm while her hubby Doug scooted off for a hair cut, and she got to go through my Passion Party books finally!

After she left I made a quick trip to Superstore for dog food, at the well for water then came home and relaxed in a nice bath

Now I’m sitting here playing ‘puter, and watching Big Brother - and then I’m going to attack the kitchen…Oy! it’s a mess - and maybe get some laundry started - supposed to be nice tomorrow again so maybe it will make it out on the line for a change

what’s shaking??? Not too much with me - I’m recovering from what ended up being a very long, but fun weekend LOL Friday night I was out to karaoke for a bit, home shortly before 1am, then back out again a little after 2am to take a friend home - didn’t get home again until almost 4am - played on the computer until 5am - watched TV for about 15 mins then thought “am I CRAZY?? Go to sleep!!! LOL which I did, until my alarm went off at 8am out of the house around 8:30am, went and got a much needed coffee, met up with Karen before she went to work, then headed out to the afore mentioned friend’s house so that I could reunite them with their abandoned vehicle from the night before. whew. Got that?? LOL

I spent most of Saturday trying to get ready for my party, making sure I had enough food and booze, and Alyssa and Megan helped me clean the house - the first to arrive was Karen around 6pm, and my girls left with her hubby Brad to spend the evening at their house - by 7pm most everyone was here (14 all together I think) - and we spent the next 4 1/2 hours very much enjoying ourselves with pigging out on the yummie food, drinking wine, a really enjoyable drink called Coconut Creme Pie (one part coconut rum, one part French Kiss liquor, 3 parts creme - omg!) and then when the coconut rum was gone we invented a drink I beleive we are calling Chocolate Mint Kiss - same recipe as above only substitute the rum with Bailey’s Mint Chocolate - omg to die for! - But the best part of the evening was put on by my friend Angela - who just happens to be a rep for Passion Party toys (adult site, don’t open around kids!! lol) It was so much fun! By 1am I was in bed, catching up on some much needed sleep! Except I was up again at 2:30am by the same friend who desperately needed a drive home again *sigh* lol Back home and in bed by 3:30am, and slept in to the heavenly time of 11:30am on Sunday!! lol

My friend Tracy stopped in Sunday afternoon, having missed being able to come to the party Saturday night and we were going to go through my books, but we decided to go for a coffee and a drive instead - a drive that took us to Bridgewater!! LOL didn’t get home until almost 6!! Ate a very quick supper, cleaned up after the kids, went and relaxed in a nice bath when I got called again from my friend and I ended up going with him to visit some friends for a bit, then back to his place for a movie - early night for a change, home before 11pm whew!! LOL I need a vacation from this past weekend honestly!!

My big plans for Tuesday is nothing more then a hair cut in the afternoon, then Tracy and a couple other girls who missed Saturday’s party are coming after supper to go through the books and place an order or two, Wednesday Breanna is coming for the day, while Val and Doug head into the city with Josh - he’s having surgery on Thursday, but she wants to come hang out with Megs for the day instead and Thursday I just might take the girls and head to Bridgewater - we’ve got to get the rest of their school supplies, check out some back to school clothes and shoes and maybe take in a movie and supper if I have any money left LOL and then this coming weekend is Seafest so I’m sure I’ll be in Brooklyn for most of the weekend. Sunday night while I was out visiting I was invited back to their place for a party for Friday night so we’ll see if I actually make it there lol

Next week is the last full week of summer vacation, then it’s back to school!!! Can’t wait!! lol

And the day has started out with the sun shining, and the air warm…ahhh, summer’s back for another day!

Had a nice visit again with Papa - the girls unfortunately did not get to go back with him for a visit - I knew they should have asked earlier in the summer and told them so! Told them it was up to them to say anything and they wouldn’t the silly things! So no Cape Breton vacation for them this summer! *sigh* lol oh well! The stuff I had hoped to get done with them out of the house will have to wait until school starts - you know, in 19 days! Yes! LOL I’m finally going to get the kitchen cabinets done - paint stripped, and get them refinished - it’s going to be a long and smelly and messy project and was hoping the girls would be away when I did it, only because of Alyssa’s asthma, but hopefully it wont be too bad for her. Really want to get her room done too - wallpapered and painted for her - but no point in doing that until the new windows go in - which reminds me, must bug the landlord about those windows! Been waiting since the end of June for those!

Not too much going on this weekend other then I’m having a nice party here tomorrow night - a nice girls only, adult *toy* party if ya get my drift LOL Going to be at least 25 of us crammed into my house….oy! Not sure where everyone is going to park their cars, let alone sit in my house LOL Oh well, guaranteed to be a good time - food, wine, booze and gossip - what could be better then that?? wheeeeeeeeee!

Nothing else major planned for the weekend, we thought Papa was coming back today for a friend’s birthday party but never heard from him - the girls are a bit disappointed I think - I think they were going to hint around to go back to Cape Breton with him lol Me thinks they should have asked him 2 weeks ago when he was here visiting with his friend Kathleen!! Time’s running out for them to go anywhere with school starting in 24 days - ohhhhh my - did I say 24 days??? I did I did!!!

Surprise surprise….guess who pulled into the driveway about 10 mins ago???? yuppers! it was Papa!!!

the rain, the fog, the dampness - Oy! enough already! lol It’s yet another cloudy wet damp day here in Nova Scotia - the kind of day where you just want to stay in bed with movies and hot chocolate. Of course that’s not happening, but it’s a good thought regardless!

Just after 12pm now and I’ve been up and out for my morning coffee and a drive, back home and cleaned out the fridge and did all the compost stuff, started some dishes and now I’m gearing up to start some laundry - was really hoping to get it hung out but I don’t see that in the foreseeable future - no sun until Wednesday *sigh* Spent a rather boring Saturday night at home again - heck even the girls went to bed early they were so bored LOL I went out about 11:30 for a coffee (yes I drink coffee that late at night!) and was going to go for a drive but damn the fog was SO thick and SO heavy that I decided it wasn’t worth it LOL So home I came, and went to bed and watched TV for awhile. See?? told ya it was boring! At least Big Brother is on tonight so I have something to look forward too

It’s hard to believe that summer is at the half way point almost - 34 more days until the first day of school - you know, in case anyone was wondering???? LOL It’s soon time to think about school supplies, and buying new book bags, and back to school clothes *sigh* where’s my money tree????

Let’s see - what’s been happening here?? Well the girls and I just had a lovely visit from Papa and his good friend Kathleen - they arrived late Saturday night and stayed until Tuesday morning - Papa spent the days showing Kathleen around, and visiting friends - and Monday afternoon they took the girls to Summerville beach for the day and they all had a blast The weather was nice while they were here too which was an added bonus, even if the humidity wants to knock you on your ass *UGH* Haven’t been walking again because of it - it’s just too damn hot to move! I wanted to get some much needed painting done around here over the summer but dayum! not in this heat!!

I was out earlier this evening visiting a friend and came home to find the girls had cleaned the house - wasn’t that nice????? Makes me wonder what they want!!! LOL I’m surprised there wasn’t a bill for services rendered laying about for me to find! ha! Hopefully the sun will be shining again tomorrow so I can get some laundry done and hung out.

And well - that’s it really. Boring no?? lol

I lead a very boring life ppl, there’s never much to say!!! lol But lets see - my none smoking took a bit of a back slide, but have no fear, its just a momentary lapse!

Weather has more then sucked lately - nothing but rain and fog and very very humid temps. It’s horrible!! ugh!!

Wednesday night I spent a lovely evening with a bunch of very rowdy women, watching 4 very lovely, very hunky, very well built, very well - let’s just say drop dead gorgeous men - who spent the evening entertaining us with very little clothing. Yes, ok - they were strippers. Well, to be more accurate, they were male exotic dancers found here at The Exotic Men of Magic if you go to the Bios, we were nicely entertained by Dragon and Genuine (the first two men in the line up) and two others that aren’t listed - SinGin and Triple X *sigh* they were all just lovely LOL No really, they were all very nice guys, who took the time after the show and all the hoopla to come out and actually sit with us and talk, and carry on - it was a fun night even if I can still barely talk 2 days later LOL

Thursday night I spent a lovely evening at my friend Crystal’s - she sells party lite candles and had a little party for a few of us - again, it was a lovely evening, I bought a couple cute things, and everyone had a laugh over me not being able to talk LOL

Gearing up now for Papa to arrive tonight (Saturday) - he’s bringing a friend with him and they are staying until I think he said Wednesday - a nice long visit for a change!!! You’d think I’d have my butt in bed right now so that I can be up early in the morning to clean eh??? LOL Eh, I love to work against a deadline!

So there you go - my boring little life in a nut shell

It’s another nice day out there, but the humidity is back again - blah! Yesterday morning my friends Susan and Sharon stopped by the house around 10am and kidnapped me - forcing me to join them in a rather long walk (LOL) but it was just what I needed to jump start myself and get myself moving again (and hopefully eating better!!) So this morning I was up at 8:15am, out the door by 8:30am, ran and got my coffee, stopped by Home Hardware to visit with the girls before they all went into work for the day, then headed over to Pine Grove for what will hopefully be my first walk of the day. Got that over with, stopped off at the Superstore and picked up some fruit (bananas and pears), some more yogurt (Activia Strawberry and Vanilla) and some Breton Mini crackers (aren’t you all thrilled to be reading this??? LOL), finished there and went to the mail, then home by 9:45am. Whew. Busy day and it’s barely started!!

Nothing else major planned for the rest of my day - have to get my suitcases out for Deb so she can pick them up today, maybe clean a bit and hopefully get walks #2 and 3 in before dark. Thrilling no?????

oh yea - a small PS:

I haven’t smoked since Monday night except for one Vanilla flav. cigar last night (had 1/3 of it around 8pm then put it out, re-lit it around 12:30am and had a couple puffs then threw the rest of it away) and I had a couple drags of Nicole’s ciggie this morning - but that’s been it - I’m trying very hard to not smoke and so far so good. So go me! lol

at LadyNova.com - this site is soon coming to an end I think - it’s coming up for renewal in the next couple weeks and I’m seriously thinking about just letting it go - I don’t blog there anymore, and frankly it’s a lot of money to keep it going for nothing when you think about it. So - if you go there someday soon and nothing pops up? Consider it gone, okies???

I finally had enough of Megan’s long long hair, especially with the amount of time she’s been spending at friends swimming and such - her hair was a disaster ALL.THE.TIME!! So - I got to make one of my Mommy Executive decisions and I had her hair cut. Like all off LOL Friend Meikka did the first cut and today I took her to our reg. stylist and had a bit more taken off as I wasn’t quite happy with it - she SAYS she hates it, but I don’t know - the look on her face in the following pics tells a different story (and if you scroll down to her birthday pics you’ll see how long it was before we cut it)

THANK GOD! LOL It was a long weekend and I’m very glad it’s done lol Our fireworks were last night and they were pretty good so that was nice - even nicer was hanging out at friend Matt’s with a huge crowd of friends, chilling on his back deck off the waterfront, chugging back a beer or two….was lovely

Not much else going on these days - the weather has been really nice, way too hot tho! lol Megs is spending yet another day with her friend Cheyenne swimming, Alyssa is hiding out in her room, and I’m thinking about spending the day in my car with the a/c on LOL

Tonight was the unveiling of the town’s newest fund raising project for Privateer Days - a calender, chalk full of local men (and some women!), shot in various Queen’s County locations. Oh - did I forget to mention all the men are nekkid??????? Ooops. Very important detail to leave out!!! LOL Now, while all the men are indeed naked, it was all very very tastefully done - you can’t see anything - well, maybe some butt cheeks, but mostly cute cheeks! lol And the models ranged from my good friend Andy, to most of the doctors in town, a father/son duo, one former MLA, a business man or two, and an awesome Nova Scotian band called Faded Blue - omg it’s awesome!!! LOL There was even a guy who did some serious bidding on Ebay and WON a spot in the calender for a mere $500!!!!! (he was rather hot too! lol)

The reveal tonight was at the Astor theater where there was a cocktail hour from 7-8pm, then the unveiling took place, with each model being introduced and their photo shown on the big screen. Once that was done, we were able to go buy the calenders, then stalk all the participants to have them sign the calender LOL. Around 9pm Faded Blue took the stage, but Tracy and I had left then. I came home and took a much needed bath - man it was so hot there! I changed into clean clothes and was headed to Tim Horton’s for a coffee when I took a drive back up around the theater - I could hear the music blaring, noticed the rest of my group was still there, so headed back in for the last 45 mins or so! lol it was so loud tho - man my ears are still ringing!!!! I finally headed for my coffee at around 11pm! LOL

Kudos to the calender team for all their hard work! It was well worth the efforts I can assure you - and guess what??? you can buy the calender online too - imagine that!! It’s worth it people, trust me!!
